Brooke J. (just the letter J) Brandt was born in Alaska. When she
was three her parents, Larry and Judy, moved her to warmer climate
California where her love and passion of performing bloomed. Her
mom drove her to LA for modeling and commercial auditions everyday.
She booked a few modeling gigs and commercials (where’s the money
from those jobs? Mom? Dad?). A couple years later, Brooke’s
parents decided (what were they thinking!) to move her to Wyoming
and take her away from the one thing she never could get off her
mind- being an actress. After the young Wyoming adventures,
Brooke then moved to the lovely state of Utah where she ended up
living during the most awkward, interesting, hormonal, but fun
period of her life (11-21)! After high school, she tried out
college at the University of Utah for a couple of years before
realizing it wasn’t what she was looking for at the time. When
she had just turned 20 she rediscovered her love and passion in
an amazing acting class, located in Salt Lake City, called
“Actor’s Gang”. This class changed her life completely. That’s
what she was going to do for the rest of her life-ACT! A year
into Actor’s Gang at the ripe age of 21, after building her
acting resume with student films and low budget independents in
Utah (no, not that kind of low budget!), she decided that it was
time to make the big move to Hollywood. At first, Brooke settled
down with some of her great acting friends (that she had met in
Actor’s Gang) in a section of North Hollywood that reminded them
of one of the dirtiest areas in Mexico. After three years in
Mexico, they all finally moved, each of them going their separate
ways. A wonderful move for everyone! Brooke is now working as a
waitress by night and a hopeful, waiting by the phone eagerly for
the next audition, actress by day.
